Drawing Contest Winners!

Hey guys, Henry updated his blog with the winners of the Pandanda Drawing Contest! Here’s what Henry said:

Hey gang! We got some terrific submissions for the drawing contest! It was very difficult to pick the winners, everyone did such a great job!

I want to thank everyone that sent in a drawing submission, they were all wonderful! The winners will receive their gift certificate in email to the Pandanda Gear Store on Zazzle this weekend. Be sure to check out the next issue of PLA Today coming this week for the honorable mentions.

Well, what do you guys think of these drawings? I thought they were pretty good! The prize was pretty awesome too for the winners… real life items and a chance to get your name (or username in this case) read by so many kids!

Drawing Contest Ends!

Henry recently posted in his blog that the Drawing Contest has officially ended. On Saturday, we will be able to find out the winners! The winners will also be posted in next week’s issue of PLA Today. Good luck to all of you who entered!

Earth Day 2009!

Hey guys! Henry posted about Earth Day in his blog. Check it out!

Happy Earth Day everyone! Here are some things you can do on Earth Day :

* Pick up any litter you see on the ground.
* Plant some flowers.
* Turn off unneeded lights.
* Recycle!
* Take a hike, have a pinic, or just enjoy the outdoors!

Also, I wanted to remind you there’s only one day left to enter the drawing contest, so get those submissions in by Thursday, April 23rd at 11:59pm PDT! I will announce the winners on my blog this Saturday and again later in next week’s PLA Today newspaper.

Now, to answer a few questions I’ve been getting.

* Will there be more beta items?
Yes! We will have several more beta items before the end of beta. Remember to check my blog for future beta item announcements.

* How do I send emotes?
To send an emote, first click on the chat bubble icon on the menubar. Then move your mouse over the “Emotes” section. Finally, click on the emote you want to send. There are also more emotes you can do by pressing the number keys 1 through 8 on your keyboard.

Remember, you should help the Earth not only on Earth Day, but every day of the year!

How to Play Dragon’s Revenge

If you click the joystick button when you log on to Pandanda, there are two available games – Panda Pairs and Dragon’s Treasure. There is a third game however, called Dragon’s Revenge. You must unlock this game first before playing it.

A direct quote from Henry:

Hey gang! Some people have been asking how to access the game Dragon’s Revenge. If you open your games panel and don’t see Dragon’s Revenge listed there, you’ll need to talk to Paige in Bear Hollow. When you click on her, you’ll see a joystick icon above her head. Click the joystick icon and she’ll ask if you want to play Dragon’s Revenge. After you play the game it will be added to your games panel!

To unlock this game, first go to Bear Hollow. Then talk to Paige – she is in the upper right section of Bear Hollow.

When you click on Paige, a few options come up. Click the joystick button for the Dragon’s Revenge game to come up.

Click YES when they ask you if you want to play the game. Once at the main menu of Dragon’s Revenge, you can choose the Quit option. Dragon’s Revenge can now be found permanently in your joystick.

What Items Are For

This post is mostly dedicated to telling you how to use each item you buy from Joe at the Fishing Hole. First, the Fishing Rod for 250 coins will enable you to go fishing at the Fishing Hole by simply standing on the narrow piece of land seperating the grass from the water. The Key which is 15 coins can be used for opening up treasure chests if you dig one up. But of course, to dig one up you need to first buy a Shovel for 230 coins. And last but not least you need to buy a Rock Hammer for 225 coins which is used for breaking open a special type of rock which will usually give you a 30 coin gem. Hope that helps!

First Beta Item Released!

The beta item has finally been released and my prediction was right. Once you enter the game, a message will pop up on the screen saying you have got the item.

I was expecting more from the beta item, but don’t worry. This is only the first beta item. There are still going to be many other beta items in the future – I hope they give us a whole outfit to go with it! Remember – you will always be able to keep your beta items, even after Beta Testing ends.

Fishing Hot-Spots

The best places to fish have been up in the Cheats/Glitches page of this website for a while, but for those of you who have not seen it yet, you can click here for the fishing hot-spots. These fishing areas won’t give you good fish 100% of the time, but has a higher rate of good fish than most other spots.

Where to Sell Your Items

This is just a little cheat for if you don’t know where to sell the items in your backpack. If you have a gem of any kind, go to West Market Street and talk to the guy named Jim. If you have a fish of any type, go to the Fishing Hole and talk to the panda named Joe. If you have anything to recycle like bottles or cans,  go either to Lisa at the Shady Glen or Steve at East Market Street. If you have any type of food  to sell go either to Farmer Dan at Darby Field or Tammy at East Market Street. If you have any furniture to sell, go talk to Mr. Elmhurt at West Market Street. If you have any type of clothing to sell go talk to Fitch at East Market Street. And lastly, if you have any potions to sell go to Bear Hollow and talk to the panda named Paige. Hope this helps.

Beta Item Update

The beta item, to be released tomorrow, has had its picture updated in PLA Today. Our predictions so far are coming true.

The item still looks like a whie shirt with a brown panda on it. The writing is much more clear now on the shirt however. It says “I’m A Beta.”

Come back tomorrow to find out what the beta item is. If you log in to your Pandanda account, the item should automatically go to your closet.
